Search & Destroy

Search & Destroy is a great vintage punk clothing store on St. Marks Place. Some say it's the best in NYC. I don't normally go out vintage shopping, but I should do it more often. If you were a punk in high school and listened to Minor Threat and Black Flag, then this is the place for you. They definitely don't want you to sit on their steps. Nice use of the Misfits skulls for their signage.

Purple and Pink Underground

I saw these two girls earlier in the day on 57th Street and then ran into them again in the Prince Street subway station in Soho later in the afternoon. It's kind of hard to miss two girls with bright purple and pink hair.

I meant to ask them where they were from, but I had a couple bags in my hand and the subway was arriving and I was probably just totally overwhelmed by their buoyant and colorful personalities. Let's just pretend they are tourists visiting the city from Chicago, land of purple and pink hair.

Not Your Average Starbucks Customer

A tourist from England standing at the Astor Place Starbucks on Sunday afternoon. Did he order a Grande Coffee Frappuccino or perhaps a Double Soy Venti-sized Mocha Valencia?
