Warhol at the Met

The Met is so big and it's a lot of fun to visit on a leisurely afternoon.  Suggested donaton for admisson is $20, but if you read the fine print you'll realize that you can give a dime and they'll let you in.  Always something new to discover and the cafe food is pretty good too.

Thanks for mentioning about the admission price Chris. I'm going there this week but I was a bit choked over the $20.00.

I know the cost of running places like this is enormous but lot's of people who would truly appreciate the collections in these galleries could not afford to spend that much.

Ideally we'd find some kind of balance between Britain, for example, where most museums don't charge admission and NA where most are getting rather pricey.

I want to see the Turner exhibition so I'll be up there tomorrow. I'll donate more than a dime.

Alternatively, you can become a member for as low as $75 I think. Not only will you become a sponsor of the arts but most of it is tax deductible. And you'll be able to come whenever you want for free, and much more.
If you are a New Yorker, museums are free on Friday nights.

Welcome to the NYDP family, Chris. :)

Check out the roof top garden before they close it when the weather gets cool.
